Sale is a town located in the metropolitan borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It is situated on the south bank of the River Mersey, approximately 6.2 miles (10 km) southwest of Manchester city centre.

The town has excellent transport links, being located close to the M60 motorway and the Manchester Metrolink network. Sale is served by two railway stations - Sale Water Park and Sale Moor - both of which are on the Manchester to Altrincham line. There are also regular bus services to Manchester, Altrincham, Wythenshawe and Stockport.

Sale is a popular destination for shopping, with a large shopping centre located in the town centre. There are also a number of independent retailers in the town, including antique shops, gift shops, clothing stores, and art galleries. The town also has a number of pubs, restaurants, and cafés, as well as a cinema and a theatre.
