Pokhara Airport (IATA: PKR, ICAO: VNPK) is an international airport located in Pokhara, Nepal. It is the second busiest airport in the country, after Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, and serves as a gateway to the Himalayas and the Annapurna region. The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and is the only international airport in the Gandaki Zone of Nepal.
The airport has one runway (Runway 05/23), which is 2,286 metres (7,500 feet) long and 45 metres (148 feet) wide. It is equipped with ILS CAT I, and is capable of handling aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 737. The airport has a single terminal building, which can accommodate up to 500 passengers at a time. The terminal building is equipped with immigration and customs facilities, as well as a duty-free shop and a few restaurants and cafes.
Currently, the airport is served by a number of airlines, including Nepal Airlines, Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, and Himalaya Airlines. These airlines offer flights to and from Kathmandu, as well as other domestic destinations like Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur, and Biratnagar. The airport also offers international flights to India, Bangladesh, and China.
The airport is located approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) from the city centre of Pokhara.
