Croydon is a large town in South London, England, located 9.5 miles (15.3 km) south of Charing Cross. It is the principal settlement of the London Borough of Croydon, and is one of the largest commercial districts outside Central London. Croydon is a major transport hub, with excellent rail, tram and bus links to the rest of London and beyond.

By train, Croydon is served by two National Rail stations – East Croydon and West Croydon. East Croydon is the main station, with regular services to London Bridge, London Victoria, London Blackfriars, Clapham Junction and Gatwick Airport. West Croydon has regular services to London Victoria, London Bridge, London Overground, London Waterloo, and other stations in South London.

Croydon is also served by two tram lines – the Tramlink and the East London Line. The Tramlink runs from central Croydon to Wimbledon, Beckenham Junction, Elmers End and New Addington. The East London Line runs from Croydon to Highbury & Islington, Shoreditch, Whitechapel and Canada Water.
