Leatherhead is a town in Surrey, England located about 25 miles south-west of London. It is situated on the River Mole and is the administrative centre of the Mole Valley district. The town has a population of around 12,000 and is a popular commuter town for people working in London.

Leatherhead has a long history, having been mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The town was the site of a battle in 1215 during the First Barons' War, and was also the location of a Royal Mint during the reign of King Henry III. In the 19th century, the town developed as a centre for leather tanning and manufacturing, giving the town its name.

Today, Leatherhead is a bustling town with a variety of shops, restaurants and bars. There are several parks and open spaces in the town, including Fetcham Park and the River Mole Local Nature Reserve.
