Centreville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States and a suburb of Washington, D.C. The population was 71,135 at the 2010 census. Centreville is approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Washington, D.C.

Centreville is located at the intersection of Interstate 66 and U.S. Route 29 (Lee Highway). It is bounded by Chantilly to the east, Clifton to the south, and Fairfax Station, Burke, and Oak Hill to the west. The town of Herndon is to the north.

By car, Centreville is accessible via Interstate 66, U.S. Route 29 (Lee Highway), and Virginia State Route 28 (Sully Road). The Fairfax County Connector bus system serves Centreville with multiple routes, as does the Metrobus. Centreville is also served by the Washington Metro's Vienna/Fairfax–GMU station on the Orange Line, located about 8 miles (13 km) from the town center.

Centreville is home to the Centreville Historic District, which contains several buildings and houses dating back to the early 19th century. The district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Centreville Regional Library, a branch of the Fairfax County Public Library system, is located in the town.
