Chicopee is a city in Hampden County, Massachusetts. It is located on the Connecticut River, just to the west of Springfield, Massachusetts. The city is home to the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Westover Air Reserve Base, and the Chicopee River.

The closest airport to Chicopee is the Bradley International Airport, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. It is about 30 miles from the city and offers flights to major cities in the United States and around the world.

The city is served by two Amtrak stations: the Springfield Union Station and the Northampton Union Station. Both stations offer service to Boston, New York City, and other major cities in the Northeast.
